Exhaust notes
To cat back or x-pipe or both? That is part of the question. I am down to a BORLA STINGER OR CORSA SPORT. IUNDERSTAND THERE IS NO DRONE WITH THE CORSA. HOW ABOUT THE BORLA? Prices seem to be about the same. Does each perform as well? Need the benefit of your experience befpr I buy. Also, where is the best prices on these? THANKS, MACK

THANKS, MACKThey're loud, without being annoying; and they have an awesome muscle car sound.
My understanding is that the x-pipe balances & smooths out the exhaust flow. With the Borla Stingers, it will probably make some difference. My Stingers burble & pop quite a bit on deceleration. If you stay with your H-pipe, I suspect they would pop even more. The popping sound is a negative for some people.
The Borla Stingers do have a little bit of drone.
Although, I have a manual transmission, and it's only noticeable in 5th and 6th gears below 1,700 RPM, or so. I just wind it out a little bit more & shift around it.
If you have an automatic transmission, I would expect them to drone quite a bit, because you'll be in those lower RPMs quite often.
For me, it would probably be unbearable.
I drove a C6 with the B&B Route 66 exhaust - with an automatic - and the drone drove me crazy.
I hope this helps.

I know you cant tell much from the sound bites on websites but I did listen and I like the heavier sound of the Borlas. Drone is important to me and my car is automatic. So if there is a bad drone at a steady cruise of say 70-80 MPH THAT WOULD BOTHER ME.T hanks for the help. Any other suggestions?
Of course, this is my favorite note so far on a corvette: http://vimeo.com/16786516

Edit: I'm not really sure what the advantage of the X-pipe vs. the stock H. I will prob just go with the headers. I can throw a x-pipe on later. Easy install

Corsa has a high-pitched tone where Borla has a much deeper tone.
I personally think Corsa Sports are the worst sounding exhaust for our cars.
