Many Corvette owners aren't aware the Z51 optioned Corvette and G/S models are intended for autocrossing on smooth parking lots and runways. They are prone to skitter and dart on bumpy curves and ride more harshly on all but smooth surfaces because their suspensions are not compliant enough for less than ideal roads. It is a very old fashioned notion that sports cars have to ride like ox carts. Stiffer is better in the bedroom but not neccessarily in a vehicle's suspension, but you will never convince Joe six-pack of this.
