Absolutely agree. I can be at a car show with 40+ other vettes and the crowd is next to my car, photos to prove it.

Wouldn't change a thing.

I think the most important is that I like the sound, and uniqueness. There are a lot of aftermarket options, I like how it looks - of course I am bias!

The lack of NPP as an option would not detour me from buying (obviously)

Which means you've had 20 years of ugly tips!If I'm in a room with 100 people and 95 of them are telling me my coat is ugly,I'd tend to listen, especially if I was a coat salesman and those people were my customers or potential customers. How hard could it be to change the look of those tips???

The funny thing about that room, those same 95 people can't afford a Callaway in the first place and their opinion is of little value.

The extremely vocal majority is the buyers minority.

The typical Callaway buyer wants something different than everyone else. The DD's and slats stand out.

From the back of the car a 4 tip exhaust looks exactly like every other C6 on the road.

The only folks who seem to really dislike the look are the non-Callaway owners. If I owned a regular C6 or Grand Sport, I would not add the "Double D" because I have to agree, that from a pure appearance perspective...there are better choices.

On a Callaway car, however, the signature exhaust helps set the car apart from the rest of the herd. I have grown to actually like the look and sound (or lack thereof). There is no substitute for hearing the whine of the blower and the knowledge you are driving a thoroughbred!

It appears that "some" people think quite highly of themselves.

yeah, like we're poor and can't afford a Callaway and thus our opinions don't matter.

Raazor,

I do hope we can build a Callaway for you and know you have been following our cars for some time

Regarding our exhaust, we do feel our exhaust (tip) design does set our product and brand further apart - as mentioned, had we gone with a 4-tip design, it would have been lost in the sea of others. No thanks.

In 2008, we began to offer the optional Callaway Exhaust Tip Surround - it came from our C16 Supercars and fills out the area around the tips quite nicely. Yes, it is costly however, it is a work of art and the six horizontal strakes seem to float in the area on either side of the tips

Cost is in line with what it takes to produce a top-quality component. If you have seen this in person, you know what I mean - they are a work of art!

FWIW, while filling my company Callaway with gas today, I was approached by someone who thought the Callaway was the most beautiful Corvette he ever saw - he looked at the car from all angles, prior to making the statement. He was not really familiar with the Callaway brand however, he understood the car was unique and offered his compliments.

In all honesty, reactions like these are a pretty frequent occurrence - owners of our cars know this all too well

Come see one for yourself at one of our Authorized Dealers - or, if I am ever in your area, I will personally facilitate a demo drive of our cars. Aside from the powerful products we offer and the peerless ability to stand behind them after the sale, I do not believe ANYONE delivers the complete experience we can - and do! I'll check that out.

Like the other Callaway owners, I'm sure I'd change my tune once it was mine.

One of your dealers contacted me. We talked. I'm just not ready yet. Still modding the banana. At some point I'll put her in the warehouse and get me a Callaway. I should probably fly down and test drive one first though.
