The year of your Corvette will have some impact on that.

2005-2007 you literally need to just pull the shift boot down from the **** on the shaft and it will reveal a screw. Remove the screw and the **** will pull straight up and off.

2008+ You need to rotate the chrome trim ring at the base of the boot counter clockwise 1/4 turn and lower it on the shaft to reveal the screw. Remove the screw and the **** will pull straight up and off.

well, pretty sure i am going to go with the leather ebrake handle and the black **** with the C6 logo on top.. I really like that **** & hoping it won't look to akward since the exterior color of my car is black it will still match.. I am kinda weird about the whole matching thing..

Get the black Hurst ball with the white shift patern. It matches the white print of everything on the dash board and looks OEM. I thought the red shift patern would be cool too, since my Vette is VR, so I bought that one first, but it looked out of place, so I returned it for the black with white patern. No matter what color you get, the ball makes shifting sooo much better.

Default Shift ****

Not into blings but I do make my own shift ***** and other things! Shift **** started with 304 CRES, mirror polished finished dimension is 1 1/2" Dia. x 2 3/4" long. Shift **** is threaded 9/16"-18 and is threaded 2 1/2" deep. My shifter is MGW with threaded stem. Shift **** has double taper on OD and transition to straight towards the top portion. It is threaded and rest only 1/4" above the threaded stem. It appears to be long but in actuality, same height as stock, it (the mass) sits low as indicated by the bunch up shift boot cover. In shake hand position (with thumb resting on counter sunk and engraved top) or palm down position (with fingers and heal of palm wrap around the radius top), either fitment are very natural and comfortable . I also made one for another CF member Spying Beast but it is out of high grade aluminum T6 alloy; also mirror polished along with exact dimensions. Sorry for the long wind, I get intense when describe things I fabricate for my toys. Enjoy!

Hate the ergo shaped shift ball and was the first thing I replaced on my Vette. The below is what I have now, along with a MGW short throw shifter.

Wow, sorry, totally missed this.

Got it from a banned forum vendor. Ed was his name, PM me for the website as I was already warned not to post it here by the mods.

Just a little personalization. I haven't decided if it'll be long term yet.
