Wil Cooksey was named manager of the Corvette plant in February of 1993 until he retired in 2008
In 2008 a Z06 Edition bearing his name was produced in limited numbers, just like the Ron Fellows Edition Z06. You should use GOOGLE and you will learn everything there is to know about Wil Cooksey.
And the Cooksey Z06 had options which were only available on that edition in 2008. However what made it bad was that the next year and year after all those options became available on most all Z06's. None of the options were performance nature though. It was only eye candy.
Wasn't the 'Cooksey' edition Z06 known as the "427 Edition" C6? Crystal red metallic with black accents...special wheels, etc. I'm not a big fan of the Corvette special editions (because they're generally all ornamental) but IMO the 427 Edition might have been the best looking Z06 to roll off the production line.

X 3. The Wil Cooksey Edition Z06 is definitely one of the best-looking C6s ever built. It's also the only C6 to leave the factory with "427" badges on the hood.

It was called the 'Wil Cooksey edition'. The limitied series was released as a celebration of his retirement from the Bowling Green plant. All Z06s are 427s, so saying its a '427 edition' doesnt mean anything.
