WATER OUT THE TAIL PIPE IS NORMAL ;;then started to notice water
comming from all parts of the ex.
when i pull it out of the garage nice trail from motor back, like a bad weld job,way to go GM.
Sounds kinda weird really. Your saying that at all the joints of the exhaust system you see water coming out? There are no welds it is slip fit. Kinda hard to see under the car unless on a lift, or jack stands. Might be water from the air conditioner letting go, sometimes they get plugged up and will flood.
condensation that normally occurs while motor is warming up would normally exit tips of pipes and land on floor of garage, now when you back out you can see where it has leaked the wole length of the system
which i assume would be at the joints......temp. around 40/50 i have seen this on bad weld's but not slip joints.....

Unless you actually SEE the water coming out at the joints this may just be the water coming out the tips and trailing back under the car as you back out. Sometimes there is a lot of built up condensation. If you see nothing after warm up, probably nothing to worry about.
There are also weep holes in the bottom trailing edge of the mufflers. Because of the angle of the mufflers, they'll collect water if there aren't weep holes in them. All sounds normal to me. All cars are going to drip water from a cold exhaust system. Not sure why you think GM has designed anything wrong.

BINGO! If you have water pouring out from 'everywhere' you may have a problem but if water is coming out the bottom of the muffler can(s) it's probably normal.
nope its water, and just started, was wondering if anyone else had noticed this i would'nt think it is normal or it would have done it from day one and not to bash gm but with thier track record they could have
put a cheVETTE pipe on it.i'll put it up on the lift and take a look at it.
thanks for the input........

about even with the doors, rear wheels and then the tips..

Those are about where the joints are in the exhaust system. As said by others, the joints are slip fit on the back half of the car, not welded, so that all us owners can easily put new exhaust systems on to make our cars sound louder. Some aftermarket exhaust systems have more joints than the GM OEM system. Still doesn't sound like any kind of real problem. Depending on how long you leave the car running before driving off, you could have a few drips to a small puddle of water.
Exhaust systems are not designed to be air tight either. Slip fit connections with clamps are never absolutely tight, so any condensation will leak out there. This is also where a little bit of black soot can be seen coming from one of those joints. As was stated earlier, the mufflers have small holes designed into them to allow condensation to escape. Depending on the temperature, humidity and how the car is driven, the amount of condensation can go up and down quite a bit.
