TOOOO many Japanese origami fold lines... I see some Mazda in the front fenders too. The design of the Corvette has, for the most part, been fairly evolutionary and not revolutionary.
If that was GM's design then I would never feel bad about not owning one.
I hope the student has an alternate job in mind. I bet they fix the interior though. Heck GM could pull a Porsche by a few cosmetic tweeks here and there, upgrade the interior, put a DI engine in the bay and charge 5-10% more.
1) Corvette lights are just rounder or more square... not thin and slanty.
2) 4 tail lights are a Vette trademark
3) Nice wheels and the side profile is interesting thought I don't know if it identifies at all with Corvette design
4) Overall shape is very similar to the C6... I don't really see a big difference...
First thing I thought as well. It isn't the worst-looking C7 proposal I've seen (especially on this forum), but I wouldn't give GM ten cents for it.
The REAL Corvette C7 has to have enough styling continuity to instantly identify it as a Corvette, and yet be enough of a step forward in both styling, technology and performance to justify what it will cost. And I'll bet that, viewed against the competition, it will still be a hell of a bargain. Now, bring back a nice dark green color, give it a world-class interior, and where do I sign?
