C7 Corvette rendered

http://www.corvetteblog.com/archives...te-design.html
We've got to remember that a lot of cars that make the car show circuit don't go into production exactly as displayed. I realize this is not an actual car and is just a rendering, but with a few minor changes and tweaks I think that it could be something pretty sharp looking.
At least is still looks like a Corvette overall, and not like something completely different -- which I think most will agree is not what we want to see in the next Gen. Vette.
Not taking anything away from the student who drew it up though, nice work!
Anyone remember when Hot Rod did a "draw your own next gen Mustang" contest 20 or something years ago? It would be interesting to see what ideas would be presented for the Corvette if that were done today. Not that I have any doubt that GM will pleasantly surprise us with the C7. I'm looking forward to it.

Fail
Yuck
Front, Rear, Side Views are all ugly.

On top of that, it is way too similar to the C6, displaying very little imagination and creativity.
I'm looking for elegance, beauty, flow, functionality, originality, and Corvette essence -- not a few crass edge lines tacked onto an existing body shape.
Think Jaguar XK, Aston Martin Vantage, Ferrari Italia 458 for inspiration.
This is not a worthy successor to the C6. I feel confident that the actual C7 will look very different, if for no other reason than customer focus groups will take the design in a much different direction.
Rant off. I feel better now.
The Best of Corvette for Corvette Enthusiasts
