The Z06 with the Z07 package is nice. I would lean towards a Callaway though. They are about the same price and you can get the sport seat option for the Callaway. Of course you can also choose between MN6/A6 and Vert/Coupe (in GS or base trims). I bet the supercharger sounds great, especially in a Vert.
Two different options, though I doubt if anyone orders the Z07 option without ordering the CFZ to go with it.
I would consider not ordering the CFZ with the Z07 if I lived in an area where there are a lot of areas to scrap the splitter. CFZ also looks great while new but I wonder how it would look after a few 10k miles down the road. I looked at a ZR1 today at a car show and it looks like the sides of the car would get the crap beaten out of it by rocks from the front tires.
The Z07 option on the Z06 is the perfomance items.... brakes, wheels suspension from the ZR1.
The CFZ is the appearance option.....carbon fiber splitter, side skirts, rear spoiler, roof panel from the ZR1.

the article was in corvette mag.,seems they were giving you the above, but also bumpping up the HP with a perfomance option ,just could'nt figure out what the performance optin was.

The front tires on the ZR1 are a little over 3/8" wider then the tires on my Z06, but I suspect they might not stick out any futher(maybe 3/16"). I'm not having any problems with the sides of my car from rocks except one 1/32" dia nick on the passenger side rear brake scoop, and that's with 12,500 miles. Of course I don't race it up Pikes peak either.

The brake ducts of the Z06 and Grand Sport get chipped up, also. If I could turn back the clock, I would have installed clear film over the front portions of the rear quarter panels This is the 63,000 mile report

Engines have to certified (by the Federal Govt.) for each platform or model to be sold. Just because the LS9 may fit in the frame rails of the Z06, doesn't mean it could be optioned or installed in such vehicle (legally).
Some recent examples of this, are legends of 1996 LT4 cars built as automatics - none were. Same with LS6 (Z06 cars) with automatics.

I believe the Z07 package comes with ZR1 size tires.

That is what a friend mentioned today at the show.

I meant to type Z07 instead of ZR1, as they both use the same wheels/tires. I was just pointing out that I wasn't seeing a bad problem with rock nicks on my Z06. Of course, any rock nick is a disaster on your baby.
