Don't think COLD has anything to do with it.

Mine occurred in 115-120 F temps. AND in 50 F temps. As others have mentioned, it's probably the composition of the product. The 2, similar but different, "plastics" used to manufacturer the piece are not reliable for equalized expansion, in extended and opposing exposures.

Well, It was 26 degrees here in San Antonio and we had the first snow in about 25 years. I want them to silicon down the new cowling and I sure rather have them do it in 70 degree weather than during this cold blizzard weather we are having. So, Cold has something to do with the curing of silicon and me taking my VR Ragtop into the shop. Either way, it will be warm next week and I will get rid of the hornets!!!

Mine buzzes too.

I made a miss with silicon. Tried to apply by myself. Really need another free hand.
Cleaned up the mess and have not heard it since. I imagine it will return.

The electrical tape will not last long I would imagine.

I have a 09 and the exact same noise started after about 15k miles. I had them run a bead of black silcone between the windshield and cowling. Sounds like it did the day I drove her off the lot!! Thanks to this site. They had it for a week and only managed to get it dirty and run over a quarter of a tank of gas out of it!!!

Got mine taped up with Black Duct tape but have great dealer and bought the GMPP and they are covering it under "customer satisfaction" as it buzzing before it ran out of warrenty and could not find the where the noise was coming from! Just want to wait a little while for warm weather to return and get them to silicon the new piece in!
