So I don't know if this is an issue with all c6's, or if my passengers are too stupid to shut a door properly, or if there's something loose. Basically what happens is about 80% of the time someone closes the passenger door on my car, the window stays outside the weatherstrip. Everytime they close the door, I have to put the window down and move it back up so it ends up where it's supposed to be. The window does lower down a bit when you open it, so I don't think this is an issue with the indexing or something. My cars an 05 coupe, if that helps at all. Thanks
I am having the same issue on the driver side. So I know that the door is being closed properly. I have Re Indexed numerous times. I think the problem may be related to the Roof panel repair I had done about a year back. I will take it to dealer for inspection soon.
This may be dumb but are the passengers closing the door so that it's all the way shut? Is the glass indexed down (slightly) when they close the door? I'd check the door alignment and make sure everything (including the glass) seems tight and proper. I'd disconnect the battery to wipe-out the existing indexing then I'd re-index the windows and see what happens. Good luck.
The door closes completely, but the window just indexes up outside the weatherstripping. Once I lower down the window and put it back up, it goes right back into the place it's supposed to be in.
