I agree with several comments here, as long as you can verify that the price is not out of the range of reality, it is really a function of what you are willing to pay.

The '06 sounds like a unique color combination. You said you could "live with" it. I'd say don't settle on something like a 'vette purchase... get what you want or you'll be constantly reminded you settled for something less.

I would find out the original 'in service' date from the dealer on the '07, as the Powertrain warranty is 5 years from the original in service date. This will tell you immediately how much warranty is left. Also, if you seriously consider the '07 it might be worth $40 to invest in an Autocheck report in addition to the Carfax. My experience is that they cover different data feeds, and by checking both you can get as thorough a history as possible. If you can I'd get a VIS report from a GM service department as well which will detail any warranty repairs made to the vehicle.

Ketchum:

The difference in new price between a coupe and vert is around $8k or so. The difference in used prices can be anywhere from $3-5K or more.

The sticker on my 07 vert was right at $65k.

To compare verts and coupe prices is indeed comparing apples to oranges.
