Very nice.Like stripes on hood as well. What rear spoiler did you install? Door handles are a nice touch as well.
Thanks.
The spoiler is the factory option.
Funny you mention the door handles. Their still factory original black, but carbon fiber is on the way.
The hood stripes are from, "vettestripes.com". I had Mike narrow his stock design down a little bit. His stock stripes were too wide for my taste. He's great to work with, and has no problem modifying his designs to meet your taste.
Doesn't that trap heat in the assemblies and cause the lens to spider web?
I've heard that is a problem with putting a clear bra over 'em
No problem.
I did the same thing on my yellow 06 and never had a problem. The factory paints Corvettes black. I have seen flat black lights that didn't have any problems.
The lens gets gets a lot hotter from the bulbs. All of the problems with crazing lenses is from covering them with tint, or clear plastic protectors. They will also overheat if a mechanic leaves a fender cover over them with the headlights lights on. Factory service manual specifically warns against this.
This can happen in a garage with the ignition on. The auto headlight feature will turn on the headlights, and they must be turned off manually.
In case you misread my post it is the inner bezel liner that is painted.

Ahhhh, my bad.
I'm changing the color of C6 from black so my headlights will also be black afterwards.
OP, your car looks killer! How hard was it to remove the lens and take everything apart to paint? Is there a DIY write-up somewhere?
I find it very hard, and scary, but worth the effort. There are several threads about removing the lights from the car and opening them up. Just do an advanced search for painting headlights in the full C6 section.

I cheated and ordered mine with the black headlights. I think contrasting lights for all colors!

Yeah --- I wish they were doing that on the 2010s. Would have saved me a lot of time But I probably still wouldn't have been happy because I like the look of satin black over the gloss black. I also paint the chrome trim rings for more of a black-out look, and would have redone them anyway.
I thing Chevrolet was seeing so many Vetts with contrasting headlights, and realized how much it improved the look. So they jumped in and made it an option. If I recall it's around a $650.00 option which also added to their incentive.
