My battery is dead to the point where the car won't start and won't hold much of a charge. Problem is, the dash, radio and light around push button start won't shut off. In addition, it says no key fob detected and battery saver mode is on. How do get those lights to shut off? It is a 2009 z06
Yes the battery is def shot! I got the dash lights out but now the running lights won't turn off! They are barely on because the battery is so weak! This is driving me nuts! I really should know how all this works but I never drive it at night and it is just a weekend toy!!
All of the weird behavior is due to the low battery. Once the battery is charged or replaced it will all straighten itself out. In the mean time, either disconnect the battery to stop driving you nuts or just ignore it while you charge the battery.
And you will need to reset the window indexing after a new battery is installed. Instructions for that can be obtained from the sticky that has the word "Mega" in the title at the top of the page of titles.

One day I was perplexed with that same situation.
However, the computer will shut off the light to save the battery if doors are not opened or start button not pushed for a certain amount of time. I have a '10 Z06. If you look closely at the switch, you can push it. After you get battery problem solved, do that. You will see that by pushing the switch, it will turn off those lights.
The computer should have shut them off long before the battery is drained however. You may have a weak battery. Good luck.
If the computer is given low voltage by the system, it will do all kinds of strange things. All of those symptoms are completely normal for a low battery voltage and there are only two options to stop them. Either get the voltage up where it belongs, or get it to zero. This means either charging the battery when it is disconnected from the car, which will allow the battery to come up, or replacing the battery. While the voltage is low, it is entirely possible that none of the switches will turn things all the way off. Sometimes the horn will sound when the voltage gets low...that's when you REALLY have to just disconnect the battery.
Have you found your problem because I have a 78 with same issues for last 40 years . I installed a better disconnect to keep me out of trouble but that doesn’t solve the problem.
