2012 Corvette, C7???
New msrp for this "lowest cost" model will be $128,675.
Other models will be proportionally more. The GS will return as a C7 and be almost as fast as a Z06 just like now. The opening msrp for the C7 GS ( called a "GS" by owners ) will be $142, 689.12.
The Z06 is being removed from the lineup of the C7 because everyone knows the GS almost as fast.
The ZR1 will have 750 hp but that won't be "enough" for many owners since there is never enough hp. Mods will commence immediately upon delivery of the car.
The least expensive C7 ZR1 will sticker at $198,767.42.
Delivery will cost more due to increased oil prices. Standard delivery will be $3457.21 for all models.
Dealer prep fee will be standard at $750 flat rate.
Sales are expected not to exceed 2000 units per year. The car will be like the Viper.....useful to the corporation only as a "halo" car.
The name of the car, "Corvette" will be removed since all owners now call their cars by either model or option designations. A recent poll confirmed that 85.9% of owners under the age of 40 think they drive cars named "GS", "Z06", "ZR1", or, paradoxically, "Z51". Insert "my before each designation.
Psychologists are still looking into this phenomena.
Automatics will be standard on all C7s. No manual will be offered. This was decided based upon owner and future owner surveys. Most had never driven a manual trans and it was felt that "manual transmission operation deficit" or MTOD pronounced "MMMM" TOD was hindering sales.
All C7s will have electronic engine rpm governors set at 4500 rpm.
I hope all of you appreciate my post to be the only possible reaction to yet another wide eyed C7 tall tale.

Love it!
