No, that not the 2012 Corvette. As a matter of fact, it's probably not going to be a future Corvette at all. It's a concept car that's been posted here about 5 or 6 times.

I did a search and did not see where anybody else had posted about this. Guess I missed it.
I understand it is a concept car, but isn't the idea of a concept car is to put it out there and get feedback? Doesn't this mean somebody actually thought they might get "positive" feedback? They thought enough of it to build it and put it out there.

Yea, look how well that worked out with the new Camaro
Wow, that's just like in the video games! Woot Woot.
Probably the new C7. Must be the lowest level model though...don't see much bling. Probably the equivalent of a 1LT narrow body coupe....you know.....
New msrp for this "lowest cost" model will be $128,675.
Other models will be proportionally more. The GS will return as a C7 and be almost as fast as a Z06 just like now. The opening msrp for the C7 GS ( called a "GS" by owners ) will be $142, 689.12.
The Z06 is being removed from the lineup of the C7 because everyone knows the GS almost as fast.
The ZR1 will have 750 hp but that won't be "enough" for many owners since there is never enough hp. Mods will commence immediately upon delivery of the car.
The least expensive C7 ZR1 will sticker at $198,767.42.
Delivery will cost more due to increased oil prices. Standard delivery will be $3457.21 for all models.
Dealer prep fee will be standard at $750 flat rate.
Sales are expected not to exceed 2000 units per year. The car will be like the Viper.....useful to the corporation only as a "halo" car.
The name of the car, "Corvette" will be removed since all owners now call their cars by either model or option designations. A recent poll confirmed that 85.9% of owners under the age of 40 think they drive cars named "GS", "Z06", "ZR1", or, paradoxically, "Z51". Insert "my before each designation.
Psychologists are still looking into this phenomena.
Automatics will be standard on all C7s. No manual will be offered. This was decided based upon owner and future owner surveys. Most had never driven a manual trans and it was felt that "manual transmission operation deficit" or MTOD pronounced "MMMM" TOD was hindering sales.
All C7s will have electronic engine rpm governors set at 4500 rpm.
I hope all of you appreciate my post to be the only possible reaction to yet another wide eyed C7 tall tale.

When I went in to look at (well, buy.. lol) my 2011 GS vert my sales lady (who I've bought 4 cars from before) wanted to show me this to see if I wanted to hold off.. she was explaining it, with the lambo doors, etc. and other stuff and we only saw one pic and I said "that's a concept... it has to be... anyhow, are you trying to tell me the GS here is sold?"
I also explained if the C7 was really that nice I'd be in in a couple years anyhow most likely for a trade.

The forum search function usually takes a little getting used to. Here are links to threads left in C6 General during the last year. A few others got moved to Off Topic. I searched for "concept car" to get these.
Don't feel bad about posting a dupe. Happens frequently with lots of different subjects.
Besides, Corvettes don't get revealed by production intent concepts like the Camaro and Solstice did. Sure they release some styling exercises from time to time, like this one, but they are just one offs, and not indicative of where the C7 is going.
See "Stingray III" in the early '90s, then compare to the C5 for an example.
