Default CCW wheels

Just wondering if anyone here has had a good (or bad) experience with CCW wheels? There may be a couple of distributors of these wheels, but the normal way of purchasing them from what I have read is directly from CCW via there webpage.

A set of 4 these model C2K "cast" wheels for the C6 cars will cost about $2,800. Not real cheap, but alot less money than what the aftermarket "forged" wheels are being sold for. In fact, the various forged wheels I have looked at are in the $4,000 - $5,000 per set price range.

From there webpage, I don't see that they come in the standard 18" x 8.5" (front) and 19" x 10.0" (rear) size that comes stock on the C6 Coupes .... The closest thing is 18" x 9.5" (front) and 19" x 11.0" (rear) size .... That's 1 inch wider on both the front and rear wheels.

Do you think that 1 inch wider rim size would be a problem with the stock 245/40-18 (front) and 285/35-19 (rear) tires?

I did send them an email asking these questions along with whether or not these CCW wheels also come with the correct offset for our cars. I also asked them if these wheels will accept the stock tire pressure sensors ... Haven't heard back from them yet.

Anyway, if anyone has any impressions of these CCW wheels, I would like to hear.

C2K

I can attest that CCW is a quality act. I've had my forged 1 piece machine polished aluminum SP16A's for a couple years now and they have held their fit & form perfectly, and I drive very aggressively and track as often as I can.

John was extremely helpful in the purchase process working with me to put together a wheel/tire package that would compliment the type/style of driving I do.

Good wheels are expensive and IMO CCW offers a top tier product at very reasonable prices. I can highly recommend doing business with CCW

Call CCW anyone can answer you're question for sure. You can also go to TireRack and look up your tires and check the specification chart to see if the inch wider Wheel fits the tire. I'm not sure if it will stick out any John at CCW can advise you on that, as far as the offsets are concerned don't worry they will be correct coming from CCW. I checked TireRack according to their chart your tires will fit.

Thank's .... I would call CCW, but I'm still in the Philippines ... so it's a little difficult now.

Anyway, hope they get my email.

They have the best customer service in the wheel business around here. IMO.
Did much research before buying myself. Really happy I decided on CCW. American made, forged wheels, perfect offsets to mount Z06 sized rubber w/o widebody, fairly priced.

I can attest to CCW quality too. I have T10 polished wheels. I don't think you can go wrong with them.

CCW has a great reputation for a reason. Strong, light, quality wheels at the best prices out there.

If there was a contest for best vendor on this board in terms of over-all service, quality of product and look of the wheels they have, they would easily win the award.
I had a set of SP16a's on my C5 for 5 years, awesome wheels. CCW is great to deal with. They make some awesome looking wheels.

If you are concerned about weight of the wheel at all, I would talk to CCW as some of their wheels are heavier than stock wheels, and they have a few that are about the same or lighter. Just depends on if you go with a 1 or 2 piece wheel.

They're not cast wheels my friend. From the ccwheel website; "Single Piece Forged, 6061-T6 Aluminum, CNC Machined".

CCW is HIGHLY recommended.

You wont find a better wheel for the price, thats for sure. The finnish and quality of them is top notch. The offset and fitment for the C6 is perfect as well. I actually have a set of SP500's for sale in stock C6 coupe sizing. I would put these up against HRE or Fiske any day of the week.

imho good looking wheels.

I went the 3-pieced forged route and custom built EXACTLY what I wanted. What I didn't want to happen was to purchase a set of $2800 wheels, and later decide that I want the really nice ones. You're talking about another 1/3 of what you're looking at anyway to custom build your exact favorite wheel.

No matter what you do, there will be people who don't like it. Choose what's best for YOU.

just my $0.02

Asuming your talking about a 'base' Vette body(no widebody). With CCW wheels you can mount Z06 size tires w/o widebody. There is no sticking out or rubbing or contact of any kind.

Go right to the source...I suggest you call CCW and speak with John directly. He's not just a vendor or reseller...he's the manufacturer. CCW makes quality wheels but personally I'd recommend forged wheels versus cast wheels. On the street I used the CCW SP16A wheels, 9.5” x 18” front - 11” x 19” rear with the Goodyear Eagle F1 Supercar EMT’s...275/35ZR18 front - 325/30ZR19 rear (Z06 tires). That setup worked great! On the track I use 18" CCW C10 wheels all-around (with 'track' tires). I'm very happy with CCW wheels.
