The newer Blinder laser jammers can also be used as parking sensors, but I don't know exactly how they work in that mode. Can anyone help?
They work as a parking sensor, but not well enough to be trusted. If you are backing up to a wall or other flat surface they work very well. Not so well when approaching cars or other irregular shaped surfaces.
I had them on my truck and they did OK, but I would not say they did any where as good as the sensor system in the Caddy.
There was thread on installing a rear view camera using the factory NAV in a C6 about a week ago. They talked about using the LockPick 360 as an adaptor that would allow the NAV to display the rear camera picture. I'm thinking of going this route as there is no modification to the Vette, just running some wires.

Thanks!
It there a "blinding mode" and "parking mode" switch, or does one mode do both?
It will be Federal law that all cars will come with a rearview camera soon.
Another thing to jack up the prices of vehicles. Personally I wouldn't add it to my current Vette as I find the car to have very small if any blind spots as it is.

I would think that the sensors without cameras like the Yukon SUV and others have, that beep and intensify as you get closer to an object would be a welcome feature. I do not see it as being too expensive either.
I checked that box when I ordered our BMW X5 and never regretted it. I sure wish it had been available for the 2010 'Vettes.

Really? Each to their own. I find the rear view vision quite poor. The rear window, while at first glance might seem large, the vertical dimension is what, 6-7 inches? Not very big, so you have to rely on the side mirrors when backing? Maybe I am spoiled with my F150, very large mirrors, backup sensors, and camera which make backing a LOT easier. I feel more comfortable backing this vehicle, over 20ft in length, than my Vette. I am just saying, since hitting anything harder than a marshmellow will take out your rear "bumper" it would be nice to have some kind of system as an option. If you cannot stand the little bumps then don't get it. If I can find a good aftermarket system I would seriously consider it. But thats just me.
