Default Battery replacement question

Hi,

I need to replace my stock batteryin my 07 and I'm replacing it with the Optima Red Top. Once I do the replacement, will I lose all of my memory and radio settings? If I do, isn't their a product out there that would work for this?

Thanks, Jerry

You loose nothing. You will have to re-index your windows and that's it.
At least that was my experience.

I replaced the battery in my '07 just yesterday.

I went with an OEM battery. Why?

54 months of flawless service. $119.07 at my dealer's installed.

Only the windows needed re-indexing which the tech did before he stepped out of the car and sent me on my way. Total time spent at dealership - 27 minutes.

I got 44 months out of the OEM Delco in my '08 and had the dealer replace it with another Delco, also. Similar experience, they had me on the road in about half an hour and I think I paid $125.00.

Optima red-top in my 2006; like everyone else, only the windows needed re-indexing. Everything else retained. Good luck with your new battery !!

Hi,

You guys were all correct, just the windows needed to be re-indexed! I have it as snug as possbile, where you tighten down the clamp at the base, but the Red Top has some slight movement in the back closest to the windshield. Is this normal? If not, what would be the best way to fix this?

Thanks, Jerry

My red top fits snug, no movement in my '05.

Later builds might have a larger tray?
