Default TPMS strap kit?

I am going to be replacing my wheels soon. i was told i would need a TPMS strap kit to mount the sensors.

a couple questions, 1) how does this affect the balancing of the wheel?
2) are there any problems with the install procedures?

On the C5 and C6 the TPMS is part of the valve stem. It is not strapped to the wheel like it was on the C4.

It's not a problem. Mine have been on for 3 years. Many aftermarket wheels have strapped tpms. I used 3M tape to help hold in place.

Or stick them in a tube and throw it in the hatch.

Kind of defeats the intended purpose though.

It does, but it is an option to keep from throwing codes if he fails to find a strap option that works for him.

How does that work if they have to be rotating to wake up?
