Now that's wierd! I put the gas & clutch pedals to the floor, then hit start button, nothing but cranking. '05 mn6. I wonder if they have changed it? Is your's a dry sump?
I would change the clutch fluid on the MN6 cars also especially if you have never done it before. You will notice a huge difference. I just did mine today. I used the ranger method. Do a search, tons of info on how to do it and what fluid to use.
My 2006 C6 has been sitting in the garage in North Jersey all winter and now that the sun is shining and the salt is all gone its time to start enjoying the car again. What is the best thing to do to get it all ready for the spring?
Seems obvious, but no one mentioned it.
Besides tire pressure and changing oil, check ALL of your fluids and inspect all rubber parts. Just being a bit retentive.......

It's too bad we can't "pre-oil" without cranking/starting.
Just a thought.
good info about the pedal to the floor to allow cranking...
This was my first winter where I had fallen snow in my yard straight through from November to late February. I now realize that I could never live in a snow belt area...it's my 15th winter in Western NC with snow (orig from S. Fla.) and by far the worst yet. Don't know how you folks make it through winters "up north".
When I pulled mine out of storage, I pulled the cover off, disconnected the battery tender, changed the clutch fluid (Ranger method), set tire pressure @ 30lbs. and then pulled the fuel pump fuse. It is in the under hood fuse box--check your owner's manual for the exact one to pull.
Then I hit the starter button for 5 cycles of about 10 seconds, allowing 15 seconds+ between each cycle. Then replaced fuse and fired it right up. This allowed the build-up of oil pressure throughout engine BEFORE starting.
