"Radar Jammers" in any form are a violation of state and federal law...
LASER Jammers - are legal in certain states, I'm in Texas. And I will say that the Quad Laser interceptor system i have WORKS. Yes its 1000 dollars, and you get what you pay for. There have been *multiple* times when I would have gotten busted but the LI system bought me exactly what I wanted it to.... time.
Radar detectors/laser jammers, nothing is fool proof and will work in every situation, from a distance, if a cop is shooting laser at me... it gives me time to slow down. installing any of these systems is no excuse to do ANYTHING you want. You blow by the cop he's going to light you up just based on visual reference at that point.

If you're ever bored and want to test your jammer setup I can bring out one of our Stalker Lidar LR's (and/or the older LD). I work for Stalker Radar as a radar technician but we get to play with the Lidar from time to time.
I meant to say Laser jammer not radar
i live in Canada thank God so the jammers are legal so is the detector i am running the V1, i was just looking for extra protection.
Again i am looking for input on the blinder brand.
thanks
There was a corvetteforum member who tested a laser jammer on here a couple years ago with great success. The cop car they used couldn't get a lock on it and the vette drove right up to it. I forgot which model jammer it was but I had it on my 06 and it worked great many times.

There was a test a few years back with these things and none of the jammers worked. If the V1 doesn't save you, you're going to fast anyway!!
Oh they work, extremely well, at least the Blinders and LI's do.
If you are ever in the Atlanta area I'll be glad to demonstrate them for you.
The V1 will never save you against lidar, well not never there is the 1 in a 100 chance you will pickup scatter first. There's a 50/50 chance the V1 will never even see the lidar shot though.
I have the Blinder M27 and I can tell you that it does indeed work. When I was still in S. Calif., I couldn't count all the CHP using laser now which is exactly why they don't want anyone having them. So much so, the governor signed into law that it's illegal to own one and of course, use one. I don't remember getting to vote on that either. Out here where I live now, they are legal but the highway patrol will look at them as an obstruction of justice...still though, they are legal to own and use.

Forgot all about that. Right you are. In fact, not only were they illegal but there was a time when the officers had the right to confiscate it. Overturned in a court case.
Ido have the V1 but more and more it goes off and if i would have been speeding i would have gotten nailed, i am not sure what they are using but it must be a laser.
and for around $400 it's cheap insurance.

Well if it's laser they're using, check your arrows. You will always see them if they are in front of you. That's because they can't be moving and they have to hold their device up to their face and aim it like a gun. That's pretty hard to miss.
The V1 indicates what they're shooting at you in two ways. Each of the three radar bands has a unique sound. The same is true for laser. All you need to do is read the manual and learn the four distinctive tones.
The second method of identifying the source of the 'Zap' is the display itself. In addition to the handy arrows, there are four dedicated lights that illuminate next to the label for the source.
It isn't of much use if you can't identify the signal source, because avoidance techniques vary for each.
If you don't have your manual, visit their website. Otherwise just unplug it, because it's pretty much useless if you don't understand how it works.

A college frined of mine is a training officer with a local department. He and I argued about my Laser Interceptor. He said I wasted my money. I said I didn't.
We went out to a huge parking lot at a vacant commercial building and put $50 on the line on the outcome. Long and short of it...he couldn't read my car until I flipped the off switch.
10 runs directly at him and until I passed him, no reading, no error codes, nothing. He aimed at my lights, my hood, my grill (stainless race mesh) but couldn't lock onto my car.
I only have the system set up on the front of my car but I figure if I pass an officer "gunning" me and I am too careless or stupid to slow down then I get what I deserve.
Laser Interceptor works.. and works perfectly but as others have said that doesn't give me license to act the fool.

The only reason that I have one in mine is that a couple of years ago, I got a bogus ticket where the officer lied. Stated I was going faster than I knew I was and refused to tell me what he used to measure my speed. When my attorney got to court (another state), it was only then we learned it was LIDAR and not Radar. I was fully prepared for a radar defense but not for a laser/lidar one. Anyway, it won't happen again. I agree, just because I have it, doesn't mean I try to get away with anything...I don't.
