Shell V-Power or Chevron Supreme only
(and a bottle of Techron every quarter either way)

Exxon 93 octane. Filled up today 22.1 mpg 3.839 a gallon.
A couple of years ago, I had to use regular once when I was out of town, gauge on "E" and no mid range or high test available. I didn't notice any difference...except maybe mpg was less.

LS3 is factory tuned for 91. Gets best performance at 91. Can be run without harm (slight loss of hp/torque) on 87. If your neck of the woods carries 93 instead of 91..perfectly fine but you are not gaining a single horsepower.

I would only add Conoco and Phillips to that list and delete Shell....and always buy the most expensive grade possible...it will be best for the Corvette and my dividends....

I have run 89 octane in my LS1,LS2 and LS3 Corvettes from the beginning. They all run great and absolutely no issues ever. Period.
The same goes for my Viper and 5 HD's. The government mandates that the EMC permits the use of 87 octane. If you track or drag race and have performance mods then by all means use a higher octane.
Octane is not power. It is only a measurement of resistance to ignition. BTU's is where the power is in gasoline and 87 through 93 have the same number of BTU's.
One horse power is 2,545 btu's/hour. 1 gallon of gas is 115,000 BTU's.
