Call me crazy, but I have some bottles of old armor all that work magic on grimy surfaces, esp engine parts. I'll try and take some pics of the bottles tomorrow, but I am talking about the armor all CLEANER. The bottle has a white spray head, not the yellow one that comes on the multi-purpose cleaner now. this stuff never left any shine at all. Cleans the hell out of the rubber floor mats in my truck. Its funny cause I never use it on any interior parts above the floor mat (well, sometimes on the drivers are rest on my pickup which takes a beating) in any of my cars, but again, cleaning the engine bay, this stuff was great. Anyone know what happened? (The armor all cleaning WIPES seem to be close to this formula, but still not the same.)
I actually prefer the basic formula Armor-All for my tire's, as like them to look clean, but not overly shiney. Maybe doesn't last long as some other's, but as mentioned clean's well and only a few minute's to apply.

Yes, but the older "armor all cleaner" or the new "multi-purpose cleaner". Seems to be two different things, and I can't find the original anymore.
Looking for a cleaner for real dirty stuff. I use maguires for interior, and I hate armor all PROTECTANT but that original cleaner worked wonders in the engine bay, wheel Wells etc.
As promised here are the pictures. Both are labeled "multi - purpose auto cleaner" This is not the protectant. The one on the left work much better and leaves ZERO residue/gloss/etc.
