I didn't use that particular switch, but I built my own that was basically the exact same thing. The switch was $1.98, the fuse tap was $6 and the add-a-fuse was another $7. Add a little wire and some crimp connectors (maybe $5) and you can make your own for under $20. The entire assembly couldn't have taken more than 5 minutes.

The trick for me was finding a good place to install the switch. The place that I found (and am very happy with) is under the dash basically under the steering wheel. The dash under there continues back about 3 inches with nothing behind it (technically above it) so there was plenty of room to drill a hole and install the switch (picture drilling a hole while holding the drill pointed straight up into the air into the lip of the dash underneath). The location is completely stealth (absolutely can't be seen without putting your head under the dash), cannot be accidentally switched (physically impossible to get your leg anywhere near the switch) and very easy to access (just slide your hand underneath the dash about 3 inches to the left of the start button).

Had to use a hangar with just a little bend and some duct tape to fish the wires over the torque tube (theres a path from driver's side to passenger's side just over the gas pedal). I have some pictures if you're interested.

But to answer your original question...I have not used that particular switch....but I think that the manual switch (as opposed to the little wireless fob) is the better way to go.
