Default 2007 corvette model confused on warranty

for car on dealers lot .... car totally out of factory warranty.

Thought I'd post it here first with the vast experience here.
I was under the impression once the factory warranty was done, GMPP is done and can't be renewed so most folks look for the gm used certified.

I know some chevy dealers out there can not do gm used certified -not sure why some can and some cant buy anyway. Can dealers really offer gm protection plans on a 2007 used model? Is it a lower gmpp level then certified used or something? if it's an aftermarket warranty, forget it as i'd run from that fast .... any insight? thanks

It is "possible" to get a GM Certified Used Car Warranty on a car like that. Not sure of the requirements. I think it has to be inspected by a certified GM dealer. Is the car you're looking at, at a GM dealer?

Here's the link to the GM Warranty site:

And a thread discussion of warranties that may help:

Your best source of straight info is Dennis Fichtner but I don't know if he's works or checks the Forum on the weekends. His contact info and you may want to send a PM too:

Dennis Fichtner at Fichtner Chev:

Again anyone needing a quote, please send me your VIN and current miles for an accurate quote.

Do a search here for Dennis Fichtner or Fichtner Chevrolet. They are supporting forum sponsor vendors. I believe he can sell you one for a 2007. It is not a GMPP, but it is issued by a company owned by GM and is honored at all GM dealers. Just send him the VIN of the car and he can quote you prices depending on how many years and how many miles you wish to extend it.

I obtained one from him for my 2006 coupe last year. I was very pleased with his service and responsiveness.
