I am very serious about buying a c6. I have picked out the one I want. I would like to hear from other owners if they regret not getting a loaded model. I mean after all it is a 2008 corvette how bad could it be. Can't afford all the goodies. Please give me your opinions. I don't want to make a big mistake.
Thanks

I have a 1LT and regret not getting all the goodies. That being said I have a 09 Silverado LTZ with EVERY option you can get minus the backup camera. My08 Tahoe had every option on it. My fiance drives a 09 SL550 so its got more options than the space shuttle. I just wish my vette had more options. You will get others on here that tell you the 1LT is all you need (and it really is) but I won't buy another one. I have added nav to mine but I really miss the heated/AC seats. The vette is the first car I have ever owned that was not the top trim level. My thoughts have always been whats a few G's more to get options that I want. I didn't follow this with my vette and wish I had. I would suggest that you look at what you really want. I didn't think all the little options would matter that much but I do regret not having them. I wouldn't say I regret making the purchase but I did buy on a whim and wish I had looked around a little more. Just my .02 I don't look down on a 1LT at all but I'm a loaded car kind of guy. The only thing I really could give a rat's a$$ about is the HUD. Had it on my C5 and thought it was pretty f'ing worthless.

My 2010 1LT coupe was perfect for me. It's like a fresh slate to perform your own upgrades. Keep in mind, GM isn't in the high-end stereo business, or the high-end leather interior business. With a 1LT, you can design everything to your own specs, or just leave it alone & enjoy!
To each his own, that said I have an 07 3lt and enjoy each option every day. Homelink, memory seats. telescoping steering wheel, HUD, are a few of my favorites. But in the end as long as its a vett it's all good and you will enjoy it. My only regret with my corvette is that I wish I would have bought one years ago.
Mine is an 09 1LT w/ z51, NPP and the chrome gumbies. I call it the All Killer, no Filler. The price was right and it was exteremly low mileage 9k when I bought it in January. The only thing I miss is the HUD, which I notice someone on the forums is installing! After listening to the base and the Bose stereos, I felt that the aftermarket was FAR superior. So I put in the pioneer touchscreen nav with ipod and sat radio and had a back up camera installed this weekend. I like that it switches to low light at night.
For me, I knew from the get go that this car would be modded. If you plan on staying bone stock, by all means go with all the options you can get. For my situation, the price was right and this is the perfect platform for what i want to do mod wise and occasional auto X and trips down the 1320.
I went with the 2LT because I wanted the better seats. I know a lot of people complain about them, but I don't autocross or race, my car is a daily driver, and for me they support OK.
Other than that the only thing I wanted was HUD, and I added that myself for under $400.
I don't give anything about memory seats, heated seats, BOSE,... all stuff that can break down and I won't use it anyway, so there was no need for me to get the 3LT.
I do like the leather dash and doorpanels from the 4LT, but didn't like that the seats still have the same lousy material for the covers. Eventually I'll upgrade the covers to better ones, and maybe do some more in the interior. That way I can make it exactly the way I want, spread the expense, and probably still be cheaper off then the 4LT.
1LT makes sense if you don't have a spouse or SO who will also be driving the car. However, if you do have such a spouse or SO, different mirror angles, seating position, etc. are pretty handy. 3LT is also handy if you want the car to automatically switch between driving position and exit position for the seat.
I have an '08 1LT just like you are considering. The intent was to have a vette, then "upgrade" with mods to be at or past Z06 performance for less than Z06 cost. Well, I did just that. Do I wish I had all the extras - heck yeah ! I just added Z06 brakes. It keeps going and going and going and going.
But, I would do it all over again. Bottom line - if you can get into a Vette, that's the first step. Where it goes from there is just a personal journey
i love mine so far...'09 1LT m6 z51 w/ npp...i can imagine that i could get "used" to the interior options...but i didnt have them before, i dont really think i'll miss something i dont have....id like to try things out for sure and see how it works out though...the hud is the first one im getting installed later this week probably...everyone seems to rave about it so it doesnt seem like i can go wrong with that...as for system, id rather go aftermarket, if anything...i just really want my ipod connected so im looking at the PAL..

Reason: forgot to add that i have a 1LT
This question comes up again and again by prospective buyers. You'll hear some owners say a 1LT is all you need and others say they wouldn't have anything less than a 3LT. Bottom line is, what options do YOU really want? If you want a 3LT don't let the price stop you. It's not that big a difference when buying used. It all depends on what YOU really want. And, in the case of a vette, it's all about want not need.
To me, it was the color, the mileage and the fact it was one-owner and well taken care of that were the deciding factors. It happens to be loaded, but I would have gone for the base model if those three factors were right.
You certainly aren't missing anything with the NAV and the Bose Stereo. You'll come out way ahead with the aftermarket. The HUD is nice at night or on a cloudy day, but I drive a Vert in Fla. so you don't really see it all that much.
I went 1lt on my '11 GS vert. I got NPP, F55 and CG headlamps, thats all i wanted from GM, i'll add the rest. I'm installing a Kenwood nav now. Heck I even like the manual top better than the power top in my '09 vert.
