09 1LT here, and I wasn't concerned about the extras. My must have's were Z51, NPP and MZ6. I do plan on upgrading the stereo soon with nav\blutooth and maybe a small sub, but that's about it. And it is my DD in the summer but I don't find myself yearning for heated\cooled seats or heads up. I'm also the only driver, that would make a big difference if my gf was jacking up my mirror and seat settings. As others have said, what's important to YOU?! The main thing is it is still a VETTE!
Full bore for me. I dislike buying anything that is stripped down just to save a few thousand. I actually use all of the features except the heated seats. The homelink remote buttons eliminate the garage door opener clutter [I need all 3] and the heads up is a must have. Looking to move up to a Z06 soon and it needs to at least a 2lZ but I deplore two tone seats....and I do use the OnStar phone!
I have a 1LT and regret not getting all the goodies. That being said I have a 09 Silverado LTZ with EVERY option you can get minus the backup camera. My08 Tahoe had every option on it. My fiance drives a 09 SL550 so its got more options than the space shuttle. I just wish my vette had more options. You will get others on here that tell you the 1LT is all you need (and it really is) but I won't buy another one. I have added nav to mine but I really miss the heated/AC seats. The vette is the first car I have ever owned that was not the top trim level. My thoughts have always been whats a few G's more to get options that I want. I didn't follow this with my vette and wish I had. I would suggest that you look at what you really want. I didn't think all the little options would matter that much but I do regret not having them. I wouldn't say I regret making the purchase but I did buy on a whim and wish I had looked around a little more. Just my .02 I don't look down on a 1LT at all but I'm a loaded car kind of guy. The only thing I really could give a rat's a$$ about is the HUD. Had it on my C5 and thought it was pretty f'ing worthless.
There aren't any seat options on the Vette that have AC seats.
I must be a real Georgia bumkin. I could care about a radio as a rule. I only listen to AM talk shows for the most part. So when this car had BOSE I think its great! I actually listen to old rock classics these days. Same with heated seats. Darn sure feel good on this aching back. I use it a lot. HUD is the neatest thing since sliced bread. I handled high end vehicles for years. Just never cared for the gadets myself until reenty. I see why some folks won't do without.
I got the 3LT setup, but I like all the toys and comfort, I hate having a car with a button that is blank, that's just me. That being said, my friend has a 1LT and is very happy with it, myself as well... There really isn't a whole lot of options in these cars unless you upgrade in model.. The two major options I love in my car is the F55, HUD and the Navigation System.. Other than that though, they are the same setup. What you decide, just make sure you are happy with it and it fulfills your needs and it will be fine.. Don't forget, IT'S A CORVETTE!!!!!
I ordered my 1LT A6 auto NPP Z51... just what I wanted. Added HUD myself, really like it.
A telescoping steering wheel is the only deal-breaking reason I'd consider the 3LT. That is, make sure your arms & legs are a proper reach to the steering wheel/pedals/shifter -- especially if you get a manual tranny.
1LT owner here and wouldn't have it any other way. I have owned a lot of loaded cars and always ended up replacing the factory (over priced) options. I have had Bose and if you think that sounds good then you really haven't heard a good stereo before. Bottom line is that I rather customize my car to fit my needs and wants.
Now, I did buy a fully loaded Ford Edge but I have no need to mod it whatsoever and that's why I bought it like that.
I am very happy with both 1LT Vettes I have owned. I prefer 1LT with basic black, clean and simple. Note later model 1LT's have more stuff, like XM and Onstar which can be nice. You can always add HUD later.

WOW.... I can get them in a Silverado but I can't get them in a Corvette. No automatic wipers either. GM has a lot of work to do with the C7. I knew that there was no option for the wipers but I thought GM came around on the AC seats. Guess I was wrong.

I bought a 2007 Coupe 1LT last October and I love it. Honestly, I had no idea what I was buying when I got it. I changed my head unit but that was only because I wanted iPhone connectivity which wasn't available in an 07 anyway. Besides the stereo, which is more than adequate now, I love the car for the handling, the looks and the power. I don't need the rest but maybe on Vette #2 I will go all out.
My '05 (bought secondhand) is something like the 4th most highly optioned C6 built that year!! It's nice to have all the gizmos, but I don't use the HUD, and paying the subscription for satellite radio is not worth it because it's a weekend car and we have a lot of good regular radio stations in SoCal.
The transparent top is nice, Homelink is really handy, but the Z51 option is most important. Shorter gears work better for autocross, bigger brakes are great, and the coolers for transaxle, PS and oil are just the ticket for track days. I think that the Z51 also includes more aggressive bolstering for the seats, another autocross plus.
