no offense but this is a 60k sports car and i dont wanna look like a hobo getting out my 2x4 when there are vendors on here selling jacking pucks that are made for the car for under $20.
Are you serious? A hobo? Are your neighbors watching and laughing if you did?
I've lifted my buddies $200K Ford GT with blocks of wood for spacers.
Even had to drive it up onto 2X4s just to get the lift arms under it. Nothing wrong with that.

Where for $20 bucks? Mid America $79.99 for 4,i do not need 4.I only jack up one tire at a time. Those pucks would not work on my GM jack,it has a small non removable cradle. So i went the HOBO way, besides a 6+2 gives you more support. That is what most tire shops & dealers use.If you get a GM jack you have no need to use a puck or wood.

Looks like you are the only one that uses PUCKS,,.,.

Using lifting pucks - almost like practicing safe sex....

He's not the only one. Back in 2005, I bought 4 pucks for about $36 that were specifically made for a '98 BMW 318i. They were a perfect fit for the C6. I installed them and they have been in place ever since.
I've heard that those "puck" lift points on the frame rails also serve as tie-down points for transport from the factory...some sort of cable/cam arrangement that goes in those oval openings, I suspect.

Can any one explain why GM does not sell PUCKS at there dealers ???
Because they are 100% not necessary to lift the car would be my guess.
I have lifted my car well over 30 times with a jack and have had it in the air 5-6 times with a lift...never used pucks and never damaged anything. Discount tire has had my car up twice on their lift for tires and NTB has had it up once for tires...neither of those places ever used pucks either.
Knowing how to lift a car goes a long way to avoiding unnecessary purchases.
