This morning I went out and I pulled back the rug on my 2012. I took a good look at the installed relay. The part number on my relay is: 12193606. This is the same relay my dealer said the the "correct" relay for my car.

Well, I went ahead and ordered Relay #15328865 from the link provided above. I'll install it when it gets here and I'll let you all know if I hear any difference..

Silver, did you order from the link I posted? It was just $3.00. Since I am not with my car for another 3 weeks or so, it wasn't a rush for me. Glad you are taking the initiative for the group. Please, post the results for us. Hopefully, the TSB and the new Part # go hand-in-hand and fix the issue.

I know many people say it's "normal" but not for me it isn't. I have NEVER drove any car that had an audible click sound when pressing the brakes. NEVER.

How about the loud clunk sound the pedal makes if you release it quickly

Much more annoying than the relay clicking. I hope youse guys dont start noticing that too

What I did was wrap the relay in 'Dynamat', and problem solved. I think mine was 4-prong (2012 built Sep 15, 11), but didn't bother to check the p/n since the problem is not the relay, but the cheap way GM built this car. The relay is in the open, and all relays 'click', so only solution is to insulate it. The other thing is I don't know if they're supposed to be reversible, since it can be installed 2 different ways, and I didn't notice its orientation, so pay attention. But since my brake lights work, it should be fine. That's all the relay do, but it's important to have brake lights. I'm pretty sure we'd get a dash error if they weren't.

Well, I installed Relay #15328865 this weekend and then immediately removed it. This new relay was actually LOUDER than the old one! I went ahead and installed some heat shielding on the underside of the fuse "door" under the passenger's footwell and it did help mitigate the sound to some degree.

My 2013 GS that was built the week of Nov. 26 2012 has relay # 13500114 and has 4 prongs and it clicks like everyone else has stated. This is a late production # and they still do not put in a fix from the factory. will be taking it back to the dealear to see what can be done. Maybe the 5 prong relay is the answer but some of the post said that even the 5 prong clicks.

Relay #15328865 (the latest) IS a five prong unit and as I said, was even louder then the one that came with the car...

Guess I go back to ignoring the clicking. Never was a big deal anyway.

GM put the wrong ones in? My 2011 had the clicking and my 2013 has the clicking. I would think they would have fixed the issue over the 2 year period. Am I missing something???

Did cars before 2011 click? I don't remember hearing it in a 2005 and a 2007 models, coupe.

I just picked up a 2013 GS yesterday. Driving home today in traffic I noticed the click. I didn't know what it was until I got home and I was just pumping the brakes. I could tell it was coming from the fuse area. Pulled down the carpet and sure enough, the sound was coming from there.

Then I came to the forum and did a search. (Love the amount of info you can find here). Glad to see that (1) this is a known issue and (2) it is an easy fix.

My 11 did and my 12 does it....as you can see a lot of them do it. It is NOT normal. There are relays that don't make that sound. My 07 never made a sound. I tried a new GM relay (about 20 bucks) same sound...Finally I wrapped four sides and top in dynamat.(some one here had the idea) I also covered the relay with a thin square piece of foam about 1/2 in by 4 inches square... all that muffled it enough not to annoy..

Someone out there makes a quiet replacement...we just need to find it.

Same here. It clicked since Day 1, but I just figured it was normal for 430+ HP beasts!
