I installed the mild to wild and like it open most of the time, but out on the freeway I close it to stop drone.
I agree with Stan. I am disappointed in the sound of the open mode. Even with the muffler mod it does not sound great (some call it a tractor sound). I miss the old Thrush Muffler steel packed muffler sounds. They were very low pitched and had the true muscle car sound. The new Mustang Boss 302 does a great job of replicating that sound.
I'm an old fart and installed the M2W switch, but after using it a few times, I thought it was a tiresome when set to "wild". I then installed split stainless collars on the actuator rods that keeps the selector valves cracked open 1/4" all the time. This provides a deep throated exhaust note when accelerating, and a nice burbelling with occassional popping sound when downshifting through the gears, all without being "look at me" obnoxiously loud. I could still use the M2W switch to open them up all the way, but never find the need to do so.

With the valves cracked open 1/4" do you get any drone cruising 1500-1800 RPM in sixth?
