Just installed a new "WindRestrictor" yesterday. Tell me what you think. http://www.kodakgallery.com/gallery/creativeapps/photoPicker/albums.jsp?collid=703571706212&cm_mmc=pt nr_kes-_-v8-_-MyCollection-_-GalleryUpload-_873025933703#[/IMG]
Haven't seen that model before. Looks good. Who makes it?
Bought mine directly from the maker. He's not a sponsor so I can't put his web site. But you can gooogle "windrestrictor" and he will be there. Great guy to do business with.
They have an illumination kit that remotely controls LED light's that illumiates the edgeds and emblem. That's my next buy. Once installed, you can put your top up or down without haven't to remove. That's what sold me on it.
My question is, does it work? And if so, what is the difference (other than you can keep it installed all the time) between this and a Vette screen. The Vette screen seems higher , even behind the seats. So, I would think it would block the air more effectively.

I never owned a Vette screen so can't say which would be better. At highway speeds with the windows up I would say 70-80% less buffering. With the windows down, about 45-50% less.
The Restrictor is tilted slightly forward (still have clearance for the seats) so I don't know that this might be why I think it works so well. Removing the screen and then storing was not an option for. I just didn't want to be bothered. My wife's 370Z has one OEM that is even smaller but does the job just as well.
This set-up reminds me of hers in that once installed it looks OEM and gives the highway protection I liked on the Z.
I have the Vette Screen and I would sacrifice a little to not have to get out ,store it and then put the top up.
Not sure what the wind protection gives you with the other brand. Actually, the cost was a little less for this. They had one on the shelf they wanted to move. Took about 2 1/2 hours to install. Would be faster the second time around. With illumination, it would be even cooler looking at night.
I'm 6' 3" and my seat is pretty much all the way back. Will this work with my seats back? I looked at the GM net but was told by the dealer that it takes some space. What do you think?
I'm 6'1" and about 180#. I have long legs and to be truthful I still have some room for the seat to be moved back. I tried it with the back of the seat all the way reclined, and it will hit,(barely) but it used to hit the back carpet in that position anyway.
seems like the bare bones price is 399. at that price, imo it better work at least to the tune of the 40%-50% you say w. windows down. otherwise, again imo, it'd be a waste of money other than the good looks of having something scrawled on it, or some lights-fantastic display.
