Corvette sounds better than any other car out there Pulling out of the pit, that growl was amazing.
And wow, #3 audi just hit the wall, one of the leaders. pretty crazy crash.

Looks like Gavin/ZR1 are in the lead with an extended caution going on because of a pretty horrendous crash. Long way to go yet.........

Massive shunt for Audi. Hard to tell if the Ferarri contributed to McNish's overaggressiveness this early in the race.
As they repair the guard rail under an extended yellow, the two factory Corvettes are P1 and P2 in class.

I wonder if that knock the Ferrari took on the big crash will help the Vettes. The Ferrari was in the garage and they were working on the rear end. It was hit pretty hard.

Looks like the ferrari is back on the track even before yellow is lifted. Wonder if it will hold up.

Had the Audi jumped that tire wall/guard rail, which it nearly did the crash would have claimed some lives along the path outside the tire wall. That one photographer was being chased by the rear tire and suspension assembly that broke off the #3. He kept glancing back and it kept rolling after him as he tried to dance and keep ahead of it.

Good stuff! What a day for racing...the DVR is set...Formula 1 qualifying coming up.
The Ferrari has its wonderful signature sound as does the Corvette. When it comes to sound quality IMO there's nothing better than the Corvette's naturally aspirated C6.R racing engine putting down the power. Love it!!
Actually, I thought the GT2 sounds a bit 'muffled' compared to the 7.0 liter GT1 C6.R. Don't get me wrong, the Corvette's still got 'it!'
As for the Audi crash it's good the driver or the spectators weren't seriously hurt. That was a really close call for the people behind the barrier...another couple inches of lift and that Audi would have been over the wall. Watching racing on TV or even a in-car video can be misleading. It seems they're going slower than they actually are. The accident dramatically illustrates the speed they're going.

Driver's visibility from inside the Audi R18 is horrible. He can see down the hood, but both sides are blocked by the front tire fenders and the A pillars. Very dangerous, and needs to be changed.
