Go test drive a Lotus Elise (top on) or Exige ... you will never again complain about getting in/out of the Corvette

I hate that the shocks I have to replace are $1,000 each.

Otherwise, I love it!

I hate/dont like that I waited so long to buy it. Should have been picked up a C6, one of the best decisions I've ever made!

Yes sir! Love that attitude.

Truth of the matter is if you look hard enough at any vehicle from the cheapest of the cheap to the most expensive you can find issues.

The age old saying.... test something long enough and it will break.

A post like this says your not satisfied with your vette which my input then would be to tell you to sell it and but something you think will be perfect. Once you do that, report back to us and tell us how that worked out for you.

There is nothing 100% perfect in this world.

Drive it, and enjoy it, or sell it.
Well said. Thank you.

I can live with all the cheap interior parts because I knew that's what I was getting. My real problem is reliability. I've had my 2005 for over six years with no battery or starting problems but every time I start it I think to myself is this the time? I read about early water pump failures. I have had both window regulators fail. A few body panels are not aligned properly. The snow flake on the dash wore off.

Why is it that this things seem to be the norm with American cars?

Would I buy another Corvette? Sure.

I wish there was an extra setting on the dic that would let it automatically scroll through the readings of what ever mode it's in and staying on each one for 5 seconds or so. And one thing I don't like on my '05 is no radio controls on the steering wheel. No other complaints.

Squealing brakes!! Drives me nuts. Just bought a 2011 CTS coupe. The brakes are fabulous. Why arn't they in the Vette? And the little black sensor thingy on the top of the dash reflects in the windshield. Can I get anymore picky?

1. Putting the cover on/off when driving to/from work. Don't REALLY have to put cover on, but work in a dusty part of town, so on the cover goes.

2. Can only drive one person at a time for lunch. Obviously, cute women in the office get first priority. Sorry, no pictures.

The navi sucks, and I have a new 2011GS. Went from m6 to a6. Like the m6 more, but this latest a6 is quite nice for a change. I know this wont be my last vette. Had a base seat before, and this sport seat is big improvement. I have a late build 11 which has a upgrade seat headrest and bolster.

Things I do not like...

My creaking roof - hopefully lubricating the weather stripping will get rid of it.

The crappy cracking leather seats

The crappy material on the inside door handle...to many scratches

Only 3 year warranty...what other 50,000 plus car only has 3 years

No loaner when take car in for service...OK get a loaner but takes 30 minutes and is not a corvette.

Crappy waiting area, bad service.

Most of these I knew about - except for the first three.

1) Nav was not updated throughout the generation.
2) Bump steer.
3) Skittish rear end over rough road.
