My question was going to be what everyone thought about yellow for a vert. My dealer said yellow was harder to resell if i ever wanted to, he also said that matching the paint , if i ever got a ding, would be harder. He suggested white, so i just dont know. I like them both, but you know they will sooner or later get a ding, and i will most likely want to sell when the c7 comes out. so decisions decisions
When shopping for my first vet, the C5, I was drawn to the yellow and I love it! Will be the last vet I sell.
Shopping for C6, got the Atomic Orange and I love that paint too. And it has a wetness to it that the MY doesn't have after Zainoing. I drove 8 hours to get my C6 and every town I drove through with both cars (I was driving the C6 back), all eyes were glued on the yellow C5 and I was just another car!
I debated between yellow and red for months before I made my decision; I went with yellow, it has the "look at me now" complex however for a 2nd car i don't mind the attention. I would go with my 2nd choice red for a daily driver or perhaps black, no others however.
It is my first vette but I get tons of compliments on the car and how pretty it is.

I addressed that in my earlier reply to you (post #7). I know it is harder to sell because I did sell my VY vert.
Your dealer is right also in that VY is harder to match if needed to. Been there too!!
This is kinda funny timing on this thread because yesterday we drove 130 miles to see the in laws for Fathers day.We seen a lot of Vettes on the way and my wife commented on how the yellow ones really popped out of the crowd. I also really like the yellow.
I seem to LIKE yellow when I see one coming toward me in the opposite lane.. that color sure draws attention... & I love looking at it.... however that being said...
I honestly don't know if I would like a "Yellow" Vette in my garage, & having to look at it EVERY time I go out, or take it for a ride...
I guess my LMB is more for the "Senior" owner & I guess you could call me "Senior at 68 yrs old...
My 1970 C3 was yellow and I didn't like it. I painted it Torch RED and loved it. I do like the current Yellow on the C6 and would have no problem owning one.
