Sorry to hear about your delay! If you want to PM me your order number and dealership I can look into where your order is.

Thanks,

In my case, it's not that. Drive a 6MT V8 M3 that I thoroughly enjoy (wanted to own one, but will be my last), but it's so complex decided to sell it after factory warranty expires (in 2 years). Was thinking about getting the Vette a bit prematurely, but simply there were no '11s left remotely close to the way I want the car (Yellow/ebony GS, 4LT, MN6, F55, chromes, dual roofs, but no nav, no NPP, or anything else). And boy, am I happy I didn't find one. I've been hesitant to pull the trigger precisely because of what's being upgraded in 2012, so buying an '11 just to buy a car NOW would be utterly stupid IMO, especially when I'm perfectly happy with what I'm driving now. And finally, other 2 options being offered in 2012 that were not deal breakers but will definitely enhance my ownership experience are yellow stitching on the leather and yellow calipers. I don't care if I have to pay a couple of grand more for an '12, but will be what I want. Contrary to the last 20 years, I WILL KEEP this car for a long time, and the reason I chose a Vette is because of its relative simplicity, ease of maintenance/repair, relatively cheap parts, incredible aftermarket support, and high performance value. I know the C7 is around the corner, but am tired of dealing with problems the first few years, plus I don't care having the latest and greatest as long as car has what I want, and I like it. Have nobody to impress (if I wanted that, would just grab the F430...while it lasts) . Good day.

I thought GM did away with the allocation system for the Corvette and all dealers could just order what they needed.

The plant is cranking out about 1/3 as many Corvettes as they usually sell before the market crashed. It's hard to imagine that they would need an allocation system. Shame on them if they do.
