General Lee #3 was painted 1975 Corvette Flame Red ........Just FYI good sir. Theres a connection to our Corvettes none of you know......guaranteed. But they decided it looked too dark and reddish, even more so on 35mm film that the TV crew was shooting.

While I agree that an owner can do whatever they want with a car, the purpose of a forum is for others to engage in debate about things.....so based on that, I agree that the General Lee paint job should at least stick with the right brand of car...preferably the same model if done in later generations as a tribute. I’m pretty sure if someone posted the paint scheme on a Rice burner everyone would go crazy saying it doesn’t belong. The scheme while technically well done just isn’t right on a corvette.....of course again as a forum everyone gets an opinion.....but that’s mine. I would feel absolutely the same about a flaming chicken on a corvette......(please nobody actually have one)
I remember going to the Mopar Nats in the early 80’s. There was a Hemi Daytona with a Corvette L88 scoop on the hood. That poor guy got verbally pummeled all weekend. He had bought it in that condition but he should have ripped that off before going to a major show.
