I have an '08 C6. OnStar warranty status indicates the vehicle is out of basic warranty. On 9-'08, I purchased the extended coverage through 5yrs/100k. Should this show automatically at Chevy dealerships or will I have to show the policy whenever it is needed?
Steven, I will assume that you are talking about a GMPP. GMPP will update the profile on your car. To be sure, show the service rep. at the dealership the next time you are in the GMPP wallet card that came with your booklet. My dealer had mine a couple of days after I renewed mine.

Thanks Bill, mine has only been to the dealer for a couple of warranty issues; the leaking battery, and dreaded top noise. The dealer, Superior Chevrolet in the KC area, replaced the batt. and fixed the top noise while the car was under the basic warranty. Getting a new battery at 35 mos. is not a bad deal.

Enjoy the day.
Quicksilver436, your dealer will be able to see that you have GMPP when they pull up your VIN on their computers.
It never hurts to carry written documentation with you. I have GMPP on several cars, and keep copies of the policies in my glove boxes. Good coverage to have, as know several people having things repaired with these, and didn't cost a cent.
