I just pulled into my GFs apartment building, and I noticed my car idling rough and some clunky noises coming from the rear as I backed up, don't know if that's related. This has happened before when I installed a used m2w switch, it has since stopped when I installed a new m2w switch. Now it's back....any ideas?
You can break some serious $hit if you keep getting the flashing CEL and drive your car. Get the code read and find out the problem. You are probably getting a 0300 code.
Do you think it has anything to do with the m2w switch? ]
Not likely. All your doing is connecting it to the npp fuse thing.A flashing light is bad news.02 SENSOR,MISFIRE,something.stop driving the car or major damage may occur!!
A flashing CEL is the PCM's way of alerting you that the misfire is so bad, that unburned fuel is likely getting dumped into your catalytic converters. Your converters will burn the unused gas, but that's not what they were designed to do. They can become damaged if you ignore a misfire because they will overheat from trying to consume all the fuel that the engine should be burning.
call a tow truck.Your manual says to STOP DRIVING IMMEDIATELY if that light is flashing.Any car is pretty much the same with that light flashing. You under warranty??If so,quit dicking around and get it too a dealership. After removing the M2W of course.
Ok just for the hell of it I uninstalled the m2w and let the car sit a while and when I started it up, the cel went off.....??? Now I have no engine light at all...I'm not under warranty and I haven't driven it since it came on...

This makes no sense at all. The M2W is the exhaust and should not be causing a CEL if it is wired properly.
No cel on at all now...since I uninstalled the m2w.... Should a flashing cel ever shut off? Is that a good thing?
Its hard to say without knowing the codes. It just seems to strange that the switch would be causing misfires unless there is some real wiring weirdness going on.
