Once I get my seats out and working I would be more than happy to perform this test. Still haven't gotten my seats out though because I can't get to the back bolts.
One thing I forgot to mention was the 5volts for the reference signal is supplied by the memory module. If for some reason this voltage drifts it will effect the return refernce readings. So, that will need to be monitored at the same time as the feedback reference voltage.
I haven't done much work on this car yet, but I am installing an X-pipe right now. So, I will check on the seat bolts.
I've had this happen to me a time or two and just a few days ago got really frustrated with it. I finally got out the manual to see if I was doing something wrong. I followed the instructions and things were working fine again -- though from reading this it might be a coincidence. I was saving this and saving that (changes) so I decided maybe I had confused it. According to the manual you adjust the driving position and then save it to one of the two buttons. Then you adjust for the exit position and save it to the exit button. After I did that things immediately started working right again -- probably a coincidence. I have it set to auto for both driving and exit because when I have it on manual I tend to forget to hit the driving button before putting the car in gear (A6). I also feel like my local Chevy dealership would be completely baffled by the repair...I doubt they sell one Corvette every couple years or longer...

Thanks for the info!
The reason I can't get my seat out right now is because it is adjusted too far back and down to get to the rear bolts, I'm going to get a flexing ratcheting 15mm wrench to try to force it out and I will be changing my memory module when I finally get that to happen.
My 2010 GS drivers seat was sticking in the rearmost position whenever my wife got out. I had to pull a relay each time to reset it. The relay, motor and wiring would get so hot, I was afraid it would start a fire. After 3 visits to the shop checking connections, relays, wiring for shorts, etc., the service manager made a call and had the whole bottom assemby replaced: track, motor, module, etc. When it was installed they made a point of securing all connectors with wire ties. Never really knew what was the cause, but the memory/seat motor been good for 24,000 miles so far since the replacement.
Mine did this. After many visits and many phone calls by dealer to tech support they
1-took steering column apart- didn't work
2-replaced seat module - didn't work
3- replaced seat "riser" - their words not mine, but must be the motor and now it works. This motor is much noisier and they offered to put another in but they've already chipped my paint so I will leave it for now

It's unfortunate that dealers damage cars, mine has been damaged by two different dealers. I don't care about warranty anymore, I wil just fix it myself.
Now if the memory issue can not be fixed asap and someone would like to just bypass the seat memory module for normal operation, that can be done as well. Problem is, to do it right you will need to purchase some connectors and make the harness for a plug and play set up. I have all the connector types and can make a drawing for how to make the jumper harness. I can save to a word format for those without cad.
Funny to see this thread. I took a ride to the Oak Beach this evening. when I left the seat was working fine. I walked around for a while. When I got back into the car and hit the memory 1 button everything worked except the seat didn't move all the way forward, so I hit memory 2 which is set to the same position except the HUD display is set differently. The HUD display changed, but the seat didn't move forward. I moved it forward with the switch and drove home. When I got home everything worked fine. I tried it twice, no problem. The exit position I have set is seat all the way up and back and the steering all the way forward. What happened when I tried it at Oak Beach was the seat lowered the steering wheel came toward me and the seat moved forward about half way.

DJ – I'm disappointed to hear about the bad experiences you had at those dealerships. I can always set up a dealership complaint case for you if you’d like. Just send me a PM.
There is an intermittant problem that, unfortunately, is not the seat module or wiring. Not saying that the OP is having this problem, but I've had it on two of my 4 C6s. Symptoms are that sometimes the seat will not move when either a memory or easy exit button is pressed or when the auto exit is activated. If you move the seat manually an inch or so first, the button will then work. Resetting the seat by unplugging and replugging the module 'fixes' the problem temporarily, so the dealer thinks it is cured. Replacing the seat module requires unplugging the old one, of course...
My theory, although unproven, is that it is the seat motor that 'forgets' where it is. I have just learned to live with it on my '09 Z06.
Well, this might answer your question. Just got my 06 C6 back from the dealer and this is what they found. The dealer found an open in the "circuit memory seat module" and replaced it and it now works.
Our 2009 was losing its memory occasionally, then more frequently. Re-setting the memory positions would fix it for a month, then a week, finally losing the memory every day.
So I took it into the dealer, they replaced the memory module and checked the connectors under warranty. That fixed it for a couple of months, then it started acting up again. I reset the memory positions once or twice and it only worked for a couple of days. We were on vacation so i didn't do anything except reset the momory positions every time it screwed up. Last re-set was in March, it's worked fine for the last 5 months/8,000 miles. Go figure...
