Default C6 Rocker

I feel sick. I was in a parking lot today and got in my car. I didn't notice a curb on the passenger side when I was going to drive off. I caught the edge of it and it cracked my rocker. Can this be repaired or do i have to replace that whole piece. I know it's bonded and glued to the frame. Makes me want to puke.

No worries. That's gravy work for a good shop. Call around, and ask which one is better with fiberglass.

Really? It just looks so nasty. This is my first vette and first fibreglass car. I just figured it was pooched. That gave me a little bit of relief. Thank You

I feel your pain...I did something similar myself (although not quite so bad). I drove into a performance shop parking lot in Phoenix. The lot was full so I pulled alongside a concrete peninsula jutting out into the parking lot. I got out of the car and then noticed someone pulling out of a parking space. I quickly got in my car, pulled forward and made a sharp right turn. The only problem was I hadn't cleared the concrete curbing. I heard and felt the grinding crunch as I hit the curb. It put a good 2" ding in the lower edge of the rocker panel.

Get it fixed and don't beat yourself up over it...it happens.

The pain you are feeling is real. I'll not disagree with you. But.........it can be fixed, it will be fixed and all will be right once again. I have done some bone head things myself over the years and the pain is short lived. Hang in there and all will be well again.

Know your pain, felt that way when I hit the curb at the bank and deeply scratched the right front chrome wheel. Found a new one on ebay for $150 bucks, good as new.

At least you did it and it wasnt the dealer or some fool that hit you. Get it fixed and forget about it.

Id rather have the rocker screwed up then the door, you got lucky in my eyes. Rocker damage is pretty damn common on these things.
