Default Telescoping wheel not working

My 05 telescoping wheel has not worked since I've owned it (all of two weeks). Anything easy I should try? If I can't fix, will probably leave as is...not a feature I'm willing to pay a shop very much to repair.

Seats are not stock and do not have any of the stock power seat electronics connected. I'm thinking the telescopic won't work if seats aren't wired. Is this correct?

Which option package does the car have, 1SX, 1SA, or 1SB?

That sounds correct. There was mention on the Z06 or ZR1 forum of Pfadt having had a bypass or other sort of electronic fix for just this problem, but that they no longer sold them. Might do a search for 'Pfadt' and 'steering wheel'.

1SB option package is supposed to have the telescoping steering wheel.

1SX and 1SA did not.

That is correct. If you pull the OEM seat out of the car and do not plug the control box back into the car you loose the function of the power telescope wheel.

If your car does have aftermarket seats and there is nothing else functionally wrong with the telescoping wheel system, our seat harness should return telescoping wheel functionality back to you. Verify that you have all the wiring necessary under the seat still remaining.

It's a relatively easy install, and we have the harness and instructions available on our website: Pfadt Race Engineering Telescopic Wheel Harness

Happen to me when the seat electronic module was replaced.

A Tech II is needed to tell the car to turn on the telescope wheel.

(This is outlined in the service man.)
