Default NAV audio question

My wife's Tahoe has the NAV and I have a question about the sound settngs. I assume the Vette version is the same?

For music, I keep the settings with bass and treble at about 80% and the mid range at 0%. When I switch to talk radio, I hit the menu button and select "talk" which of course resets those 3 things to where you can understand what they are saying - a good thing.

When I want to switch back to music, I have not found a way to easily put the settings back to the way I had them. I have to do it manually every time(tapping on the frick'in screen).

Is there an easier way ?

In all my factory nav systems switching from local radio to XM to cd all have different volume levels. The switch from radio to cd is substantial so I just get ready to turn it down immediately. Something I've just gotten used to.

The vette 05' has a "manual" or is it "custom" setting which saves your personal preference...

I believe you can save sound setting preferences for each preset station. This is taken from page 3-9 of the 2008 Corvette Navigation Manual:

To adjust sound settings, do the following:
• Touch the plus (+) or minus (-) signs to adjust
treble, mid-range, and bass, if you are in the Manual
mode of ATC.
• Touch the L (left) or R (right) to adjust the balance
of the speakers.
• Touch the F (front) or R (Rear) to adjust the fade of
the speakers.
• Touch the ATC screen button to adjust the ATC
setting. See “Adjusting the Speakers” later in
this section for more information.

After adjustments are made, touch the back screen
button. This will take you back to the preset station
menu. Whenever you touch that screen button,
the previously stored information you have entered for
each preset station will be recalled.

I hope that helps.

Thanks,
Laura

Yes, it is the same for the 2005 navigation system. The instructions are on page 3-7 of the navigation manual.

Thanks,

Thanks Laura ! I appreciate the info. I guess I'm out of luck for channel surfing when we are travelling, but this still helps quite a bit !
