You won't get detonation because the computor pulls timing to save the motor which in turn will lower performance. That's a given. If you can't notice the difference you need to find the go pedal
Actually, the predetonation is what trips the knock sensors which tells the PCM to pull timing.

Actually it is saying a lot. That is over a 15% increase in gas mileage which translates to the equivalent of paying $.60 less per gallon (assuming $4.00 per gallon) for a premium fuel which should make your cost lower than the cheaper stuff and you get the benefit of the additional additives of a Top Tier fuel.
If everyone reads only one post in this thread this is the one.
Hi All
Last month I was on a trip following a friend. He was driving his 2006 C6 auto coupe I was in my 2005 C6 6manuel convertible.
At a gas stop he filled up with regular I thought he made a mistake.
He said he has run the car on regular almost always since first got it " 130K miles "
He said it has a slight bet more power on 91 or 93 but very slight
The next fill up I tries 91-E10 and the car ran the same Except I drooped
a little less then 1 MPG on the highway.
One other thing i have found is if i can find and run Pure Gas
" No ethanol " I pick up 1 plus MPG on the highway
Not taking sides just passing on my experance
Michael
Ethanol will always get lower MPG then real gas. Less energy per gallon.
92-93 octane at BP stations. Extra 2-3 bucks over regular for the fillup.
British Petrolium,They're still around? Got so bad for them around here that within 6 months after that God awful catastrophy all the area stations closed down due to well informed Americans deciding to get their fuel elsewhere. What goes around comes around.
