Search etrailer.com for the hitch and see lots of pics and pricing. It's been a handy thing for years now.

Curt Manufacturing also has a hitch for the C6, but again, without NPP.

Sorry ... but I use my Tahoe anytime I need a hitch. No Corvette of mine will ever see a hitch Its an American Sports Car, not a truck.

I'm going to build a hitch for mine also. I have a truck that can pull, but I'm sure as hell not going to trailer the car to a road course with slicks on it. Half the fun is driving there in the car. If it aint broke, dont trailer it.

Can you expand on how you made it work? The hitches normally are blocked by the NPP actuators.

Any pics?

DANG, I was really hoping I could easily put a hitch on my new GS (easier than on my C4, which would have required drilling holes in the frame), but I ordered the NPP exhaust.

Would love to see if someone got a commercially available hitch to work with NPP, without a bunch of fabrication.

Curt is still considering making one, I'll poke my contact there again next week. It was in regards to this poll: http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c6-c...-interest.html

Try posting that question as a new thread. It wasn't something I could measure and you can't calculate without knowing that and the material alloy GM used. Someone who has the back end off can measure the thickness at the ends. You'll also need to know the channel dimensions.

If it's just the hole that concerns you, then don't worry about it. Any rear end collision that is significant enough to have a small hole affect the bumper integrity will kill you regardless.

Using a large rubber mallet and loosening the exhaust system allowed me wiggle the rear hanger into place... was not easy ... had planned to cut the wings off the rear and fabricate a straight piece much like the simpler hitch drawn by the op

when it stops raining i will take a photo or two...

Would like to see more info on this when you have the chance. This is on my list of winter projects. THanks.

Curt (the hitch company) is working on one that will fit NPP exhausts, hopefully it will be out soon, in case you don't want to build one.

I'll post here as soon as I hear that it's done and when it will be sold.

I will buy one when it's ready. Actually, the one updated to fit the NPP exhaust should also work with any standard exhaust, so they could replace their original C6 hitch with the updated one and be done with it.
