I have a small one that I think is made by Kidde.?
I bought it at West Marine and it's a dry chemical/powder for auto/marine applications.
It was around $20.
I carry it in a bag in the trunk of my Vert.
If you post on the Tech/Performance Forum, you'll probably get many replies from racers that have larger ones installed/mounted in various locations inside the car.
I use a "clean agent" Halon fire extinguisher by HalGuard. In case I ever use it on the engine, it purportedly is easy clean-up and avoids any damage caused by other types of extinguishers.
The mount is Brey Krause and half the price of similar passenger seat track mounts like Hardbar. I love the look, and it has a "quick release" for getting the Xtinguisher unhooked and into my hands fast.
To keep my lady's dress from getting caught-up, I made a hood to cover it and lined the inside with cork to stop any rattle.
It's not only a good idea, a fire extinguisher is generally required at most tracks I run on. I have a Brey-Krause quick release fire extinguisher mount (on the floor where the passenger seat would be) with a Safecraft 2.5lb halon fire extinguisher. I have another fire non-halon extinguisher I bring to the track as well.
