Wouldn't you have to reboot the computer after changing the battery? That would have to be done at the dealership. My C5 had a bettery replacement and it wouldnt start until they reset the computer at the dealership. I havent had this issue with my 2011 GS.

Nope, not necessary on C6. Never heard of that being needed on any car before.

damn it, still having this problem. I jump started the car because I noticed the volatge was at 11.8. It ran perfectly fine for a few hours. then, it started throwing all the codes again and the voltage surged from 12.0 to 4.1 depending on the driving. I went home and parked it... sigh, this pisses me off!!!

Alternator.
Have that sucker thoroughly checked out at an alternator shop.
Bet you've a bad one, sour alternators with the C6 isn't uncommon.

I just went through the exact same issue four months after taking delivery of a 2011 GS. After two months and several module replacements GM sent a field engineer to my dealer last week. He discovered a defective connector at the VCIM module. They could wiggle the cable and the vehicle would start throwing the error messages without the engine running. Replaced 4 pins and so far so good. The GM rep also told me that the car would not start while these errors were occurring. My VCIM is under the dash but I believe it's in back of car on an '05.
