weird question?
Just picked up an 08 a couple of weeks ago and noticed at the top of the oil dipstick on the metal, the greek letters; sigma delta theta.
Very strange, is this a parts supplier's name???

That's wild. I never noticed if that's on my 2005 or not. I guess I have to go look....well maybe a little later.

The Greek letters are short for "change your oil at 3000mi; ignore the DIC"
But seriously, I have no idea. I'm not even sure if I have it. Will have to check now...

Probably someones idea of a joke to see how long it would take before somebody did an oil dipstick inspection and found it!

There is a sigma delta theta sorority that was formed in 1913 by two black collegiate women at Howard University.
Maybe the students at Howard university are paying their way through college by making dipsticks.

It's been a while since I've been in a geometry class but if memory serves:
Sigma = sum
Delta = change or difference.
Theta = the angle of an intersecting plane.
That information didn't help at all, did it?
