My guess would be if you have a good working relationship with your local dealer, You'll probably get it fixed, if not, no. Good Luck

When I covered my armrest I intentionally left the latch off. It made a plastic on plastic squeaking noise when I leaned on it and it really serves no purpose anyway. Even if its locked a simple pry with a screwdriver will break it in a second.

If you are REALLY ticked at how cheap this latch is, like I was, do what I did.
Clamp a chunk of 6061T6 aluminum in the Bridgeport milling machine and make a new one that will NEVER break.
Yes, this is overkill, but it is my C6 and I modify it to suit ME.
