Default PAL module

Ok you guys with the pal ipod interface...where did you hide your module? I have a coupe and was wondering where the best spot is. It seems kind of tight to put it in with the XM module. Any suggestions?

I pulled the XM out for SIRIUS and put the PAL in with the Sirius .

That's the most common method... Some have said they put it in the rear storage compartment.

If you're not using XM (I never have), you can ditch the XM module and stick the PAL module to the plastic XM bracket and put it back in - worked like a charm in my 2008 coupe! (Note - this assumes you are using Ray Kawal's PAL v2; not the original GM PAL unit.)
Enjoy,

I wrapped mine in bubble wrap and wedged it in a cavity above the drivers side rear wheel well. It is to the rear of the xm module.

On our 2009 coupe the PAL is stuck to the inside of the plastic trunk "tub", left side, aft of the wheel wheel. Basically, above the left cubbyhole, behind the carpet.

I threaded the cable down into the left cubbyhole and just leave the Ipod there all the time.

We used Kawal's harnes for installation, very easy.

We're very pleased with this setup. Our PAL is an early one, about twice each year (every 7k-8k miles) the Ipod will stop working; I unplug the Ipod and plug it back in immediately, instant fix.

I gave up hunting the perfect install! I wound up wrapping it in foam so that it would fit tight next to the XM module above the wheel well. I then did the same as others and put the ipod in the left hand cubby hole in the back. I never need to look at it except to add songs every now and then anyway. Works perfect.....thanks for the ideas guys!
